Network outsourcing services

Network outsourcing services to offshore destinations by many companies in US and UK has come into major scrutiny by workers of those nations. Most of the workers are of the opinion that companies that outsource network services and other white collar jobs to off-shore destinations should be penalized. Most workers have formed unions to oppose network outsourcing services and many unions have even resolved not to train any replacement workers. A recent survey indicates that many workers feel they would file legal suites against companies if their jobs were lost due to outsourcing.

Although outsourcing has given rise better job opportunities in developing countries like India, China, Mexico, Ireland and Philippines, it has also led to job drainages in first world nations. But most economics are optimistic that this backlash among the US and UK workers is bound to vanish as the US economy improves and newer jobs are created.

The pros and cons of offshoring are not very clear as of now. Though there is a striking contrast between the number of jobs lost to outsourcing 1990-2003 and the large scale agitation. The fact is that the impact of offshoring jobs has been minimal to the US economy and has in-fact benefited it. But the sheer pace at which things have progressed has led people to agitate. Though presently, the job recovery after outsourcing is a developing situation as newer and better paying jobs are being created. If this goes on the effect of offshore outsourcing will be positive canceling out the cons of outsourcing offshore.
